11. Couverture bébé "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" : Un modèle Wolly Roger facile pour débutants

Hello knitters and cheer up!

As an Alsatian, the stork holds a very special place in my heart. And its job, traditionally, is to bring bubbalas... Today I suggest you make an adorable baby blanket using the "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" pattern.

Rumor has it that the title "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" actually camouflages the initials LSD, a drug whose hallucinogenic effects the song supposedly narrates. This story is as much a part of rock myths and legends as the Satanic incantations of Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven or Marianne Faithfull's famous Mars...

Although the Beatles never hid their penchant for psychotropic substances, this rumor was always denied by John Lennon, who claimed, on the contrary, that this song had been inspired by a drawing of his son.

When he was 4 years old at the time, little Julian, in love with a nursery friend named Lucy, had represented her in the sky with diamonds.

And even if the title isn't a direct reference to LSD, it's still highly unlikely that the song was written by the Beatles who were only shooting Cristalline.

It will be enough to read the words of the first verse to dispel all doubts on this subject.

One of the major influences (besides drugs) was the diptych of their English compatriot Lewis Carroll, "Alice in Wonderland" and its sequel "Through the Looking-Glass", two masterful works with completely unbridled imagination.

In addition to having marked the history of music, this song has also marked paleontology since Lucy was the nickname given to the Australopithecus fossil discovered in 1974 in Ethiopia...

But Lucy will also have influenced space research indirectly, since Lucy the Australopithecus will give her name to a space probe launched in 2021 around Jupiter.

Julian Lennon's childhood love will have marked the history of humanity by his simple presence.

This baby blanket is a thought for my little cousin, Solana, born on May 26th. She will be a great girl, like (almost) all the other women in her family ^^

This pattern is accessible to all woolly pirates.

Exceptionally, the boss is presented to you by Krakan, the little brother of the famous Kraken.
